As of July 19th 2020, the Department of Health and Human Services has announced it mandatory for Face Masks to be worn in Melbourne and Mitchell Shire areas from 11.59 pm on 22nd July 2020.
While Geelong, as a part of Regional Victoria, has not been included in this mandated area, it has still been recommended and encouraged that locals in Geelong wear Face Masks where appropriate.
When out and about, it is highly recommended you wear a face mask to help protect yourself against the Covid-19 Virus. These face coverings are helpful to stop droplets spreading from person to person during contact including talking, sneezing, or laughing.
It is possible to make your own face mask. If you'd like to do so, please click the link below for instructions how:

Stay home as much as possible, stay 1.5 metres apart from others, cough and sneeze into your elbow or tissue and wash your hands regularly.. and please get tested no matter how minor your symptoms.
